Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro, a fervent opponent of the Trump administration’s immigration agenda, was called out for his past praise of former President Barack Obama’s immigration enforcement policies.
“I want to ask you about immigration which you have made a part of your campaign focus,” said “Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan Sunday. “When you were mayor of San Antonio, you testified before Congress and you called for increased border security measures and you praised the Obama administration’s actions.”
In 2013, Democrat candidate, Castro was for strict border policies and was against open borders. He Even backed Obama’s deportation record. He changed with the narrative. https://t.co/jX0sxBUIC5

Brennan then played a clip of Castro speaking before a congressional hearing in February 2013. In the clip, then-San Antonio Mayor Castro is seen lauding the Obama administration’s success at removing “dangerous individuals” after beefing up security along the U.S.-Mexico border.
It is odd because Castro agreed with Obama’s record for deporting more illegal immigrants than any other president in history. President Barack Obama has often been referred to by immigration groups as the “Deporter in Chief.”
Between 2009 and 2015 his administration has removed more than 2.5 million people through immigration orders, which doesn’t include the number of people who “self-deported” or were turned away and/or returned to their home country at the border by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Now, it seems as though Castro and the rest of the Democrat hopefuls have shifted their policies. Why? Because the need for voters has overshadowed border security. As more and more Democrats leave the party, the Democrats need voters to replace them.
Since the Democrats get to the immigrants first, they are able to feed them their lies. Just recently, an MSNBC contributor made the statement that “Trump is calling for the execution of immigrants.”
MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace was forced to back peddle her statement on Twitter but the damage had already been done.
YIIIIIKES. MSNBC host Nicole Wallace claims Trump is “talking about exterminating Latinos.”

Then the Twitter apology…
I misspoke about Trump calling for an extermination of Latinos. My mistake was unintentional and I’m sorry. Trump’s constant assault on people of color and his use of the word “invasion” to describe the flow of immigrants is intentional and constant.

The leftist media claims that Trump’s words are dividing the country, but theirs seems to be doing more of the dividing. That is becoming demonstrably obvious.
