Once again the alt-left media has jumped on a story without first getting all the facts. The latest scandal involving Trump and a phone call to Ukraine was dead on arrival.
According to CNN, the whistleblower who filed a complaint with the intelligence community inspector general did not have direct knowledge of the communications between President Trump and the foreign leader in question.
Other reports claim that the “whistleblower was only an intel employee that heard about the conversation and leaked limited information to The Washington Post, endangering national security.
The conversation was reportedly a July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
It is alleged that Trump urged Zelensky multiple times to work with his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani to investigate Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden and his ties to an energy company owned by a Ukrainian oligarch.
WAPO later confirmed in the same article that the president is WELL WITHIN his rights to discuss whatever he wants with foreign leaders.

Giuliani has previously urged a top official in Ukraine to look into the ties.
An official who has been briefed on the matter, however, told CNN that the whistleblower “didn’t have direct knowledge of the communications.”
“The whistleblower didn’t have direct knowledge of the communications, an official briefed on the matter told CNN. Instead, the whistleblower’s concerns came in part from learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work, and those details have played a role in the administration’s determination that the complaint didn’t fit the reporting requirements under the intelligence whistleblower law, the official said.”
The official said that the concerns and subsequent complaint came in part from the whistleblower “learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work.”
As always, the “bombshell” by Washington Post was released before all the facts were on the table.
Interestingly, the scathing report backfired on the Democrats by exposing yet another bombshell regarding Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
According to Politifact, Joe Biden’s son Hunter was working for a firm that was under investigation by the Ukrainian government. During the investigation, Vice President Joe Biden urged Ukraine to fire its top prosecutor, with the threat of withholding U.S. aid. But that was the position of the wider U.S. government, as well as other international institutions.
Biden released an official statement regarding the scandal:

The Ukrainian government told Biden that he was “only the Vice-President” and didn’t have the power to withhold aid to foreign governments. The Ukrainian officials then said President Obama promised them the aid. Biden told them that unless they fired the prosecutor in Hunter’s case, they “wouldn’t be receiving the aid.”
