Failed Actor and left-wing activist, Jim Carrey, has made some crazy gaffs lately. Most of his false claims are anti-Trump and pro-Obama. However, his latest statement pretty much tops them all.
Amid Congress returning to work next week from its long recess, Carrey decided he would attack Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on the grounds of gun control. His statement was not only uncalled for, but it was demonstrably false information.
His tweet carried the image of a hand dipping a $100 bill in blood.
10,000 gun deaths in 2019 and the year is far from over. What Osama bin Laden did to us was terrible but he doesn’t hold a candle to Mitch McConnell. pic.twitter.com/o68JXxWlUX

Carrey’s tweet comes after the Gun Violence Archive issued a report saying there had been 10,118 gun deaths in the U.S. in 2019. In 2018, about 14,000 people died in gun-related incidents other than suicides, The Hill has reported, citing CDC figures. In 1993, gun deaths not counting suicides were reported at 18,253.
What people fail to mention when pointing out these statistics is most of these gun deaths are attributed to gang violence in the inner cities. Yet, the Mayors and Governers of these Democrat-run cities want to lecture the rest of the country on gun control.
CNN reported in 2017 that the gun-related deaths in Chicago were a disturbing 762 in 2016 alone. That said, the death tolls increase drastically every year. Those numbers aren’t counting the rest of the nation. These gun deaths and gun suicides far outnumber the mass shooting deaths each year.
“Chicago marked 2016 asthe deadliest year in nearly two decades, data released by the Chicago Police Department shows. 500 homicides. 9 months. 1 American city. The city saw a surge in gun violence in 2016: 762 murders, 3,550 shooting incidents, and 4,331 shooting victims, according to a statement released by the department on Sunday. There were 480 murders in 2015, the most in the city since 1997.”
So why do the democrats only focus on mass shootings? We can’t expect the left to point out their own failed inner cities, can we? Pointing out their failed leadership is going against the narrative.
The other lie is that Mitch McConnell is responsible for more deaths than Osama Bin Ladin. Bin Ladin was responsible for 100s of thousands of deaths. So, how many people has McConnell killed? ZERO.
Try again, Mr. Carrey! Why don’t you go read a book?
