During a campaign stop Sen. and 2020 Presidential candidate Kamala Harris (D-CA) was asked about her recent tweet regarding Jussie Smollett and the news circulating that Smollett set up the entire hate crime attack.
Bringing this up to speed, quickly following Smollett’s initial claim that he was attacked and assaulted by two MAGA supporters in a apparent HATE CRIME, Harris tweeted that the Jussie Smollett case was an “attempted modern-day lynching.”
The tweet which aged very poorly and was since removed read:
“Jussie Smollett is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I’m praying for his quick recovery. This was a modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or the color of their skin. We must confront this hate.”
Harris, visibly frustrated can be seen stuttering and clearly looking for help from a possible publicist or campaign official on how to answer the reporters question.
“Which tweet? What tweet? …” she said, [laughing]. “Um, ah, ah, uh, okay, so I will say this about that case, I think the facts are still unfolding and um, I’m very, um, concerned.”

Smollett has several links to Harris and as the story begins to unfold so do many top level Democrats.

Pictured below is Smollett with former president Obama.
And there is much more. There are a plethora of memes and photos emerging of Smollett with most every key Democrat or 2020 presidential candidate.
I met @JussieSmollett at the Pride Parade in Los Angeles, and I've seen the passion and moral clarity of his activism first hand. This week he was the victim of an horrific attack. We pray for your speedy recovery, Jussie, and reject this act of hatred and bigotry. pic.twitter.com/wDZuLcznFZ

Some include Maxine Waters, Adam Schiff, Michael Obama and with Smollett now front and center, more may emerge.
As more and more emerge It surly begs the question, did anyone know or possibly collude with Smollett on this orchestrated attack for political purposes?
Only time will tell as it looks as if a Grand Jury will now decide if Smollett should face charges. Should he face indictment, the discovery in the trial may prove to be a treasure trove.
