Authorities said all six of the victim’s children, who were ages eight through 16, were witnesses and are being questioned. The 14-year-old who stepped in to help is receiving treatment for a non-life threatening stab wound to the leg.

“For this to happen early on Christmas morning, on a day that should be a family day, it just makes it that much more hard to conceive it,” added Small.
