President Trump To Address Nation On Immigration Tuesday at 9 p.m./0200 GMT

U.S. President Donald Trump said he would address the nation on immigration and the southern border on Tuesday at 9 p.m./0200 GMT.

Trump announced his prime time address on Twitter on Monday, the 16th day of a partial government shutdown triggered by his demand that Congress fund a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump Tweeted, “I am pleased to inform you that I will Address the Nation on the Humanitarian and National Security crisis on our Southern Border.”

The President is expected to continue his push on the importance of Border Security along with the humanitarian needs associated with it.

Despite Democrats failure to discuss a border wall to end the shutdown, The President has provided reassurance the wall will be built.  He tweeted this on Saturday.

Senator Chuck Schumer responded via twitter:…
