Elementary School Principal Bans Candy Canes because their shape is the letter ‘J’

According to Business Insider, “Jennifer Sinclair, the principal of Manchester Elementary School in Elkhorn, Nebraska, was put on leave this week after she circulated a letter banning certain Christmas-themed items in classrooms.”

Among them were candy canes, because their shape is the letter ‘J’ which could be construed for ‘Jesus.’ After Liberty Counsel, an organization with Evangelical Christian values, found out – they wrote in and complained.

Sinclair also said red and green decorations weren’t allowed, because they represent traditional Christmas. Sinclair has been put on leave, because of her actions.
