A recent report surfaced from BuzzFeed News Claiming Michael Cohen lied to Congress at the direction of the president.
Buzz Feed Wrote, “President Donald Trump directed his longtime attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, according to two federal law enforcement officials involved in an investigation of the matter.”
The also claimed, “Trump also supported a plan, set up by Cohen, to visit Russia during the presidential campaign, in order to personally meet President Vladimir Putin and jump-start the tower negotiations. “Make it happen,” the sources said Trump told Cohen.”
Corporate Media Organizations ran with the story like it was “All but True,” in what many see as an attempt to once again infuse a false narrative to in any way discredit the President.
After receiving significant blow back and centralized media attention the co-author of the piece now claims “We have NOT seen the evidence supporting our report.”
According to Mediaite, Buzz feed article co-author Anthony Cormier appeared on CNN’s New Day and revealed that he had not seen the evidence underlying his report.
Host Alisyn Camerota opened the interview by asking Cormier if he had seen the evidence to which Cormier replied: “Not personally.” He then clarified that “the folks we have talked to — two officials we have spoken to are fully, 100 percent read into that aspect of the Special Counsel’s investigation”

While top Level media organizations like #CNN fawn at the opportunity to knock upcoming or mid level media organizations claiming they run with unverified sources, this seems to be what Buzz Feed News did with this piece; which was ran with by every Major Media organization and Paper.
