According to Fox News, Funding for a barrier at the nation’s southern border has been a point of contention between Republicans and Democrats during negotiations to end the partial shutdown, which began on Dec. 22.
Trump has requested $6 billion in funding for a barrier or wall, but Democrats have not supported the request.
The shutdown affects roughly one-quarter of the government, including nine Cabinet-level departments.
Friday morning Trump tweeted that the GOP was “so unified” and there would be “no ‘cave’ on the issue of Border and National Security.”
Never seen the Republican Party so unified. No “Cave” on the issue of Border and National Security. A beautiful thing to see, especially when you hear the new rhetoric spewing from the mouths of the Democrats who talk Open Border, High Taxes and Crime. Stop Criminals & Drugs now!
