Just a few days ago Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez decided it might be wise to run a live instagram video in her DC apartment while drinking wine and talking politics.
The Freshman senator was widely mocked from all sides following the video which can be seen below, but one twitter user took things to the next level.
Former White House adviser Oliver McGee noted her ignorance on “civil rights & climate” while pointing her video was something out of “Kindergarten-4-Klick-Bait!”
See how squirrelly she sounds saying when she’s wrong on civil rights & climate, it's not her fault & doesn’t matter, as she’s only 29!

Ocasio-Cortez compared reactions to climate change to that of individuals who protested the Civil Rights movement, saying that the internet “documents everything” and that “your grandchildren will not be able to hide the fact that you fought against acknowledging and taking bold actions on climate change,” according to Newsweek.
“You look back and you open history books on the Civil Rights movement, and you see those folks who are protesting against the ability for African Americans and black Americans to have the right to vote,” the congresswoman said. “And they would hold up these bigoted signs and they would hold up signs that said things like ‘what about white rights?’ and like all of this stuff in the 1950s and 1960s. So just know, that in the present day, there are a lot of people who hide the fact that their families and that their grandparents fought against principles of equal rights in the United States. Not 100 years ago, not 80 years ago, but in this generation’s lifetime.”
“People who are trying to mock and delay this moment, I mean, I just feel bad for you. I just pity you for your role in history right now,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
@_Hublette wrote this before posting the viral video, “HAPPY FRIDAY
@AOC We all know a staffer picked up that IKEA furniture for you as a prop.”
