A 20-year-old rapper was killed by six police officers who found him asleep at the wheel in a Taco Bell drive-thru line Saturday night.
Vallejo Police in California fired “multiple rounds” at Willie McCoy, known as Willie Bo, after they woke him up and he “quickly reached” for his handgun.
NBC news Reported, Vallejo, California Police, said in a news release that the six officers shot “multiple rounds” at the driver — identified by his family as Willie McCoy, 20 — in the span of four seconds Saturday night in a Taco Bell parking lot. It’s unclear how many bullets struck McCoy, but his family said they believe at least 20 may have hit his car based on the number of holes that witnesses counted at the scene.
A .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun with an extended magazine was recovered from McCoy’s car afterwards, police said in a statement.
The Handgun found was reported stolen out of Oregon, authorities also said.
Willie Bo had amassed hundreds of thousands of views on his rap music videos on YouTube.
